Ο Thomas Cadène είναι σεναριογράφος πολυμέσων που ξεκίνησε σχεδιάζοντας. Αφού σπούδασε νομικά και μάρκετινγκ, ξεκίνησε την καριέρα του ως εικονογράφος. Αργότερα, κατέληξε να στραφεί στο γράψιμο όπου αμέσως ένιωσε πολύ πιο άνετα. Προερχόμενος από το σχέδιο, ήταν πολύ φυσικό να άρχισε να γράφει για κόμικς. Το 2009, με τον φίλο του Sébastien Vassant, δημιούργησε ένα φεστιβάλ κόμικς και το 2010, ξεκίνησε την πρώτη του σειρά, « les autres gens ». Μια σαπουνόπερα σε κόμικς που δημοσιεύεται διαδικτυακά εδώ και δυόμισι χρόνια (η οποία θα εμφανιστεί και με τη μορφή έντυπων κόμικς από την Editions Dupuis). Συμμετέχουν περισσότεροι από εκατό σχεδιαστές και σεναριογράφοι. Μετά από αυτή την περιπέτεια, χωρίς να σταματήσει να γράφει comics (περίπου είκοσι τίτλοι, όπως Alt-Life με τον Joseph Falzon στη Lombard, La Tragédie Brune με τον Christophe Gaultier στη Les Arènes, Σύντομα με τον Benjamin Adam στη Dargaud ή, πιο πρόσφατα, BFF με τους Joseph Safieddine και Clément C Fabre στη Delcourt), ο Thomas Cadène συνεχίζει να δοκιμάζει διαφορετικά format και προσεγγίσεις.
Έτσι, το 2016, έγραψε το ψηφιακό πρίκουελ της σειράς Trepalium για τo Arte (παραγωγή Upian), συνέγραψε (με τον Joseph Safieddine), από το 2017 έως το 2019, ξανά για το Arte (παραγωγή Bigger Than Fiction) και για το Instagram τη σειρα BD Été.
Πιο πρόσφατα, πάλι με το Arte και Joseph Safieddine, δημιούργησε τη σειρά Fluide που είναι διαθέσιμη τόσο ως τηλεοπτική σειρά για το Arte.tv όσο και ως BD (στη Dargaud)… Στο μεταξύ άρχισε να γράφει Video Games (Το Unmaze, που δημιούργησε ο Nicolas Pelloille-Oudart), ως δημοσιογράφος (είναι συνεκδότης του περιοδικού TOPO από το 2018), ακόμα και σε podcast (φαντάστηκε και έγραψε, το 2022, για το BINGE Audio, τη σειρά Roger Est Mort και τα περισσότερα από 200 επεισόδια της, με 7 ηθοποιούς και 4 σκηνοθέτες).
Ο Thomas Cadène επισκέπτεται το CCA2024, σε συνεργασία με το Γαλλικό Ινστιτούτο Ελλάδος.
Thomas Cadène is a multi-media screenwriter who started with drawing. After studying law and marketing, he began his career as an illustrator. Later, he ended up switching to writing where he immediately felt much more comfortable. Coming from drawing, it was quite natural that he began writing for comics. In 2009, with his friend Sébastien Vassant, he created a comic book festival and in 2010, he launched his first series, « les autres gens ».. A soap opera in comics published online for two and a half years (which will also appear in the form of paper comics by Editions Dupuis). More than a hundred designers and scriptwriters participate. After this adventure, without stopping writing comics (around twenty titles including Alt-Life with Joseph Falzon at Lombard, La Tragédie Brune with Christophe Gaultier at Les Arènes, Soon with Benjamin Adam at Dargaud or, more recently, BFF with Joseph Safieddine and Clément C. Fabre at Delcourt), Thomas Cadène continues to vary formats and approaches.
Thus, in 2016, he wrote the digital prequel to the Trepalium series for Arte (produced by Upian), he co-wrote (with Joseph Safieddine), from 2017 to 2019, still for Arte (produced by Bigger Than Fiction), for Instagram , the comic series Été.
More recently, again with Arte and Joseph Safieddine, he created the Fluide Series which is available both as a TV series for Arte.tv and as a comic book (at Dargaud)… In the meantime he has started writing from Video Games (Unmaze, created by Nicolas Pelloille-Oudart), to journalism (he has been co-editor-in-chief of TOPO magazine since 2018) or even to podcasts (he imagined and wrote, in 2022, for BINGE Audio, the Roger Est Mort series and its more than 200 episodes, 7 actresses and actors and 4 directors).
Thomas Cadène visits CCA2024, in collaboration with the French Institute of Greece.
